For the third year in a row, the gymnastics team placed first at the Southwest District Championships on Saturday, Feb. 22. As a result, the team qualified to the OHSAA State Championship. Athletes who place in the top 10 on any event or in the all-around are named to the All-District team. Leighton Easter, Abby Latham, Ann Lehmann, Paige Rose, and Sarah Sanders earned All-District honors. Leighton Easter, Abby Latham, Ann Lehmann, and Paige Rose also qualified as individuals to the State competition after placing in the top 6 on an event or in the all-around. Individual results are as follows:

Bars: Leighton Easter (3rd), Paige Rose (4th)
Beam: Paige Rose (3rd), Leighton Easter (5th)
Floor: Ann Lehmann (1st), Abby Latham (5th)
All-Around: Paige Rose (4th)

The Elks will compete next at the OHSAA State Championships on Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 at Hilliard Bradley High School.
