Centerville High School Announces 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees

Centerville, OH — Centerville High School is proud to announce the newest members of the Centerville Athletics Hall of Fame, who will be formally inducted on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Centerville High School. This year’s class represents excellence across multiple decades and sports, honoring athletes who have left a lasting mark on Elks athletics. . The induction ceremony is free and open to the public for anyone wishing to attend. The inductees will also be recognized at halftime of the varsity football game that evening against Miamisburg at approximately 8:15PM.

Brad Otten – Football, Wrestling, Track
A Class of 1972 graduate, Brad Otten was a true multi-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, wrestling, and track. He earned varsity letters in football, wrestling, and track, but made his biggest mark on the gridiron, where he became one of the most dominant linemen in school history. In 1971–72, Brad achieved historic recognition as the first Centerville athlete ever named First Team All-State.

He went on to play at Eastern Kentucky University on a full scholarship and was later recognized by the Dayton Daily News as one of the Top Elks players of all time. Revered for his toughness and leadership, Brad paved the way for future generations of Elks athletes. After courageously battling stage 4 prostate cancer since 2018, Brad passed away in December 2024. His induction into the Hall of Fame is a lasting tribute to his pioneering legacy.

Keith Bertram – Football
Keith Bertram was a three-year starter at linebacker during one of the greatest eras of Centerville football, compiling a 30–2 record across his varsity career. As a senior captain, he helped lead the Elks to their first-ever state playoff appearance, highlighted by a legendary victory over #1 nationally ranked Cincinnati Moeller. He set the single-season tackling record, was named WOL Defensive Player of the Year, and earned First Team All-State honors.

At Eastern Michigan University, Bertram became a three-year starter, helping transform the program into MAC Champions and California Bowl winners, while leading the team in tackles. After graduation, he returned to Centerville as a volunteer coach, mentoring future Elks stars including Mike Bennett, Kyle Rose, and Ifaedi Odenigbo. His influence as both a player and coach has spanned decades, making him a true pillar of Centerville football.

Taylor Dearbaugh Hoffman – Girls Soccer
A dominant presence on the soccer field, Taylor was a three-year varsity starter (2007–2009), team captain, and Most Valuable Player. She earned First Team honors at every level — All-State, All-District, All-GWOC, and All-Miami Valley — and was named to the NSCAA/Adidas All-Region Team. In 2009, she led the Elks to the State Semifinals and was recognized as a Scholar Athlete and Penn Station Athlete of the Month.

Taylor went on to play collegiately at the University of Kentucky and later Xavier University, where she was a starter, before competing professionally with the Dayton Dutch Lions (2012–2013). Earlier in her career, she starred with Cincinnati United Premier, becoming a four-time state champion and two-time finalist. Her achievements and leadership make her one of Centerville’s all-time soccer greats.

Alexandra Henning – Girls Basketball
Alexandra Henning, Class of 2013, was a four-year varsity starter who scored over 1,000 career points for the Elks. She was a three-time All-Conference selection, a District 15 All-Star, and an Ohio/Kentucky All-Star. She still holds the Centerville program record for free throw percentage in both a season and a single game.

Henning earned a scholarship to Bucknell University before transferring to Ashland University, where she became the starting point guard for two seasons. She helped lead Ashland to an extraordinary 72–1 record across two years, including a 37–0 undefeated run that culminated in the 2017 National Championship.

Today, Alexandra continues to lead and serve — she is a Captain in the United States Army, working as a JAG Officer at Fort Carson, Colorado.
