The Centerville Swim and Dive Team delivered a strong overall performance at the Jim
Matson Invitational, with both the boys and girls squads capturing 1st place in the team
standings. Across the 30 events contested, Centerville recorded Top 3 finishes in 28
races, underscoring the program’s consistency and depth throughout the meet.
On the boys’ side, Peter Bright, David Zhang, David Phillips, and Joseph Bright led the
scoring efforts, contributing key points in multiple events to keep the Elks at the top of
the leaderboard.
The girls were paced by Charlotte Pederson, Catherine Phillips, Katy Boller, Aera
Horenziak, and Alayna Hogendoorn, who each produced strong finishes and steady
scoring throughout the competition.
With both teams earning championship honors and athletes contributing across the
lineup, the Jim Matson Invitational marked another successful meet for Centerville as
the season moves forward.
