The varsity boys volleyball team qualified for the Elite 8 State Championship Tournament by knocking off Wayne and Lakota East earlier in the tourney. The Elks were matched up against St. Ignatius on Saturday and the Elks put together what many are describing as their absolute best team effort of the year. The team was firing on all cylinders and knocked off St. Ignatius 3-1 by scores of 25-21, 25-19, 19-25 and 25-15.

The win put the boys into the Final 4 and a showdown with Elder on Sunday. The Elks were not able to duplicate the effort from Saturday and fell to Elder 3-0 by scores of 5-25, 15-25 and 17-25. The Elks finished the season at 17-11 overall. A huge thank you to our seniors and to Coach Burge who has coached his last match for the Elks. Coach Burge has done a fantastic job and will be greatly missed!
