The Elks welcome back Coach Jim Weckesser to the boys cross country program. As coach David Dobson moved on from the girls cross country program to take a position at the University of Dayton coach Jim Weckesser agreed to come back aboard to help the Elks. Coach Weckesser and Coach Clark got together and in a decision that they feel will bring these two programs closer together the two have decided to share coaches interchangeably and Coach Casey Clark will take over the girls program and Coach Jim Weckesser will take over the boys program. The teams will at times share workouts and work out together.

Coach Weckesser was the boys head cross country coach for 6 years here at Centerville as well as the head girls track and field for 1 year prior to taking a teaching and coaching position at Beavercreek High School for the past 7 years.

I cannot thank Coach David Dobson enough for all that he has done for Centerville Girls Cross Country over the past 22 years. Most people will talk only about the successes and the multiple State Championships(5 State Titles) but the culture and team first attitude that Coach Dobson cultivated is second to none. He will absolutely be missed but his program will continue to shine as Coach Clark takes the reigns.
