The varsity boys soccer team took to the pitch Saturday Night at Alumni Stadium in their home opener. The Elks are breaking in some new players after their State Runner-Up run from 2021. The team played a very solid game against a talented and experienced West squad. The game was tied at 0-0 at the half as the Elk defense kept West from truly any scoring threats. Luke Shrivers was a wall in goal for the Elks.

With just over 15 minutes to play in the game Eddie Kuper served it to Myles Kirksey who headed the ball in the goal for a 1-0 lead for the Elks which they were able to make stand as the Elks picked up a huge home victory.

The JVA team beat Lakota West 2-1 at home on Saturday. The JVB game vs. St. Xavier was canceled on Saturday due to the storms.

The JVA and Varity teams are back in action on Tuesday August 23rd at Sycamore with JVA playing at 5:30 pm and Varsity at 7:15 pm. Tickets are only available online at
