The varsity volleyball team traveled to Springboro Tuesday night to take on the Panthers in a huge GWOC showdown. The Panthers came out hot and the Elks helped their cause with many unforced errors, most of which were serving errors. My guess is the Elks gave away 6-7 points in set one buy serving the ball long. Boro took set one 21-25. Coach Onweller and his girls regrouped and played much better in set two and the Lady Elks won set two 25-19. The Elks continued to played better as the match went on and tood set three 25-19 and followed that up with a 25-19 win in set four and a 3-1 win over Boro. The Lady Elks were led by juniors Reese Wuebker & Mailee Dabbelt and seniors Nicole Sargent & Amelia Nott.

The Varsity is now 8-2 overall and 6-0 in the GWOC. The JV team beat Boro 2-0 and the Freshmen lost to Boro 0-2. The teams are back in action on Thursday night at Wayne with 9th and JV playing at 5:30 pm and Varsity at 6:45 pm. Tickets are only available online at
