It was a perfect night for football at Centerville Stadium. The weather was fantastic, the crowd was full of excitement and most importantly there were two undefeated teams playing for a leg up in the highly competitive GWOC conference!

The Elks didn't wait long to get the scoring started. On the first play from scrimmage Drake Wells went deep up the home sideline connecting with Nic Bruder for a 71 yard touchdown pass! Northmont came back with a big gainer on a broken play and would go on to score on a 9 yard run, but would miss the extra point. To finish out the first quarter, the Elks stifling defense would get a safety ending the first quarter with a score of 9-6.

The second quarter would see two Elks scores. The first was on a great 19 yard catch by Bryce Cowgill and the second came on a 1 yard run from Drake Wells with 57 seconds left in the half. The Elks would go in at the break up 23-6.

The second half would be ALL Centerville as the Elks tacked on TD's by Nic Bruder (pass from Wells) in the third quarter and a final TD added in the fourth quarter on a 1 yard run by Emable Wakalongo.

All game the Elks defense continued to apply pressure to the Northmont offense with constant tackles for loss (11) and racked up 6 sacks on the evening. The black flag was on full display!

The Elks move to 5-0 on the season and turn their focus to a 4-1 Springboro team in what looks like another great GWOC football game next Friday night 9/23 in Springboro.
