Wednesday evening, the Centerville Lady Elks traveled to Northmont High School and emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. The Elks were dominant with possession and kept play in Northmont’s defensive field. Any attempted attacks by Northmont were thwarted by keeper Emma Gramke and the defensive line. Despite many opportunities, the Elks would take a while to find the back of the net. With 3:26 left in the half, Savannah Conner received a ball midfield, turned, and outraced the Northmont defenders for a 1 v 1 with the Northmont keeper. She hit the ball low under the keeper to put the Elks up 1-0 at the half. In the second half, the Elks defense and keeper Leena Cornwell quickly stopped any attempts by Northmont to present danger. The Elks kept the offensive pressure on the Thunderbolts and with 18:38 to go, Morgan Spitler assisted Jess Wiedemann who scored the Elks second goal.The Lady Elks improve their record to 7-0-3.

The Lady Elks JVA team won their game 4-0 against Northmont on Wednesday, September 21st. The Lady Elks began the attack early but struggled to score until the last few minutes of the half. Lauren Jessup-Aiken carried the ball down the right flank and crossed it into the box where Jilly Wisecup finished to put the Elks up 1-0. In the second half, Ella Boettcher played a through ball to Samantha Touhey for goal two. Shortly after, Samantha Touhey turned and scored goal three off a pass from midfielder Maya Mercado. Khloe Isaacs scored the fourth and final goal of the game redirecting a freekick from Ella Boettcher.
