This Friday October 21, 2022, Centerville High School will be featured on NBC's Today Show segment "Friday Morning Lights". Each week, this fall, the Today show has been traveling to a city in the United States to shine a light on what brings the community together on a Friday night. We are honored and excited to announce that Centerville High School is the Today Show's next stop!

The segment will air live in the 8 AM hour from Centerville Stadium on the campus of Centerville High School. The segment will feature our football team, cheerleaders, jazz band, coeds, mascot and "The Herd" student section.

Coach Ullery will be speaking with local WDTN NBC news affiliate, Jack Pohl, who began his broadcasting career at CHS WCWT in the Communications Broadcasting Career Education Program.

Friday is the last regular season home game and senior night. Our 2023 seniors will be recognized and celebrated for their contributions to our school and our community.

We would like to thank Cheryl Thompson for nominating CHS for the Today Show's Friday Morning Segment! Cheryl is a former band parent and is the true definition of "Elk Pride Never Dies."

I also would like to that Sherry Monaghan, Tenille Redmond, Brandon Barrometti, Coach Brent Ullery and Windai Tolbert for organizing this event!
