The varsity girls golf team did something that no Southwest Ohio Girls Golf team has been able to do since 2010 and that is hold off the Central District team to win a State Title. The Lady Elks beat Dublin Jerome by 1 stroke to claim the State Title Saturday at the Gray Course on the campus of The Ohio State University.
This title is truly a program title as this years group was on a mission to win this Title for all the incredible golfers over the past years that have been a part of this incredible program. During my 11 years here at CHS there have been so many great girls golfers come through this program and the standard they have set as far as dedication and commitment is truly unmatched in our athletic department. It is so awesome to see these girls get to bring home the ultimate payoff for all of that work!
The Lady Elks shot a school record 613 over the 2-day tournament and were led by senior Morgan Rodgers who shot a 151 2-day total and was 2nd team All-State. Sophomore Brigid Nickell shot a 153 2-day total. Senior Leeann Harker shot a 153 2-day total. Senior Sanjana Reddy shot a 159 2-day total and senior Alana Miller shot a 161 2-day total.
Just an incredible job by these young ladies and Coach Dalton. We are so proud of all of you, all of your teammates , all of your coaches and all of the former players who all made this possible!
