The varsity boys soccer team traveled to Lakota West on Thursday night and faced arguably the most talented and dynamic offensive team in the state and the Elks were certainly up to the challenge. The Anderson Raptors have had a great season and required the Elks to be on point and on point we were!

With 20 minutes to go in the 1st half Myles Kirksey was able to make a great play on the ball and score the first goal for the Elks for a 1-0 lead. The Elks defense sent us into halftime with the 1-0 lead. Early in the 2nd half Landon Miller unloaded a laser that found the back of the net at the 38:40 mark to give the Elks a 2-0 lead. And then with 5 minutes to go in the game Collin Wickenheiser added the 3rd and final goal to make it 3-0 Elks and Luke Shrivers along with his defense finished off the shutout.

The Elks will now move on to the Regional Semi-Finals to face Moeller on Wednesday November 2nd at 7 pm at Bellbrook High School. Tickets will only be available online at www.ohsaa.org/tickets
