The Lady Elks Basketball teams hosted Beavercreek for a GWOC showdown on Wednesday December 7th.

The Freshman girls started the evening with a win, beating the Beavercreek Beavers 32 to 27.

The JV girls were next and fell to the Beavers by a score of 61 to 36.

The Varsity girls took the court last for a thriller. The Elks found themselves down 21 to 7 at the end of the first quarter. Pairing together better defense and shooting, the Elks won the quarter and narrowed the score to be down 20 to 30 at the half. At the end of the third quarter, the score differential was the same as the Elks trailed 42 to 32. The Elks came on strong in the 4th quarter scoring 21 points and outscoring the Beavers by 8 points, but time ran out for the Elks as they fell to the Beavers 55 to 53.

The Lady Elks are back in action on December 10th versus Northmont.
