The varsity girls basketball team traveled to Wayne on Wednesday night. The team played great defense in the first half and held Wayne to only 19 points but the Lady Elks could only manage 10 points. The Lady Elks struggled offensively all night with poor shooting and costly turnovers and Wayne was able to stretch their lead in the second half and beat the Lady Elks 51-35.

The Elks were led by Anna Grim with 15 points and Emily Grim with 10 points. The loss drops the Elks to 6-4 on the season and 4-3 in the GWOC. The JV team beat Wayne 37-34.

The Varsity team is back in action next week down in Charleston, SC in the Carolina Invite. The Lady Elks will play 3 games and their first game is against the host school Summerville, SC on December 28th at 7:30 pm. The varsity will also play a game on the 29th and 30th.

The Freshmen team will travel to Xenia over the break on December 27th at 4:00 pm at Benner Fieldhouse.
