The varsity boys basketball team traveled to Ironton High School on Thursday night to play in the Ironton Classic against Huntington Prep. The Elks played what could be their most complete game of the season as they were in complete control of this game from beginning to end.

The Elks led 17-5 at the end of the 1st quarter and 36-20 at the half. The boys continued to keep control of the game in the 2nd half and led 47-33 heading into the 4th quarter. The boys went on to win 65-48. Jonathan Powell led the Elks with 19 points and Gabe Cupps added 11 points for the Elks.

The team is now 6-1 overall on the season. The Elks are back in action on the road at New Albany, IN on December 29th. Tickets will be $6 cash at the door. Freshman and JV will tip-off at 6:00pm and Varsity will tip-off at 7:30pm.
