The varsity basketball team ran its' overall record to 8-1 after an opening season loss on the road to Cathedral out of Indiana. The varsity boys hosted Springboro on Tuesday night in front of a packed house with what can be described as maybe our most imaginative Herd Theme ever. Our students came dressed as Chef's with all the proper attire and unfortunately a lot of pots and pans. The thought was that we were going to cook the Panthers!

We did more than cook them as the Elks beat Springboro 90-43 in a completely dominating performance in all areas.
The Elks jumped out to a 24-15 lead after the first quarter and then honestly put the game away in the second quarter to lead at the half 53-26. The second half saw a running clock and the Elks went on to win 90-43 over the Panthers. The Elks were led by Gabe Cupps and Collin O'Connor who both had 22 points and Jonathan Powell who had 13 for the Elks. The win moves the Elks to 5-0 in the GWOC and tied with Wayne for 1st place. The JV team beat Boro 64-42 and the 9th Black squad beat Boro 56-41.

The Elks will host Wayne for sole possession of 1st place on the line on Friday night with it being Hustle Night/Assist Club Night and Pop Rocks performing at halftime! 9th Gold will play at 5 pm, JV at 6:15 pm and Varsity at 7:30 pm. Tickets are only available online and we strongly suggest that you buy your tickets ahead of time as we expect a huge crowd. Tickets can only be purchased at
