Boys Wrestling Continues To Dominate Battle Of Far Hills

The varsity wrestling team traveled to Trent Arena in Kettering on Thursday night for the Battle of Far Hills against the Fairmont Firebirds. The match started a little rough for the Elks as the Firebirds jumped out to a 9-0 lead over the Elks.

The Elks responded with Ethan Waller getting a 7-4 win at 120 lbs. to put the Elks behind 3-9. AJ Aguilar won for the Elks with a pin at 126 lbs. to tie the match 9-9. Nate Stevens then won for the Elks 15-6 to put the Elks up 13-9. Griffin Burkle then won 11-4 at 132 lbs. to put the Elks up 16-9. Arslan Bekirov then won a tough match at 144 lbs. 10-8 to put the Elks up 19-9. Gage Griffin then got a win by a pin at to put the Elks up 25-9. Aydan George continued the Elk run winning 18-2 at 157 lbs. and the Elks now led 30-9. The Elks took a loss at 165 lbs. to end the run and now lead 30-15. The Elks lost again at 175 lbs. and now lead 30-19. Gunnar Pool won by a forfeit at 190 lbs. The Elks lost at 215 lbs. and closed out the match with Jackson Mires getting a pin at 285 lbs. to put the Elks up at 42-25 to end the match. Just a great job by our Elks!
