The varsity girls basketball team hosted Thurgood Marshall Saturday night and the Lady Elks were on fire most of the night from the field scoring 79 points on the way to a 79-57 victory. Thurgood has a very talented backcourt that can really shoot and get to the rim. So the Lady Elks met that challenge with some incredible shooting of their own and wore down Thurgood with intense defense all night.

The Lady Elks led 16-14 after the 1st quarter and 38-27 at the half. The Lady Elks then outscored Thurgood 41-30 in the 2nd half to win 79-57. Anna Grim had 24 points, Kendal George 23 points and Emily Grim 17 points to lead the Lady Elks. Varsity is now 10-5 overall and 5-3 in the GWOC.
