The varsity girls basketball team traveled to Beavercreek on Wednesday night. The Elks lost to Creek 53-55 at home in early December. Coach Priefer and his girls did what they have been doing for years, they continue to improve and just fight every game and that tenacity paid of at Beavercreek Wednesday night as the girls beat Beavercreek 40-36.

The game was close the entire time and tied 30-30 heading into the 4th quarter. The Elks lost the lead in the 4th quarter but a huge 3-pointer by Lou Ciarlariello, huge free throws by Kaitlyn Palomino as well as a steal by Palomino and a layup by Emily Grim gave the Elks the lead with less than 30 seconds. Emily Grim had a double double with 13 points and three charges taken! The was a great team win as the team is now 12-5 overall and 7-3 in the GWOC and tied for 2nd place.

The 9th team beat Beavercreek 32-23 and the JV team lost to Beavercreek 25-42.

The Elks are back in action at home on Saturday at Northmont with the JV playing at 11:15 AM and the Varsity playing at 12:30 pm. Tickets are available online only at
