The varsity boys basketball team hosted Miamisburg Friday night as the second round of GWOC games begins for the Elks. The boys jumped out to a lead right from the beginning and led 25-11 after the 1st quarter of play, The Vikings played the Elks evenly in the 2nd quarter as the Elks led 36-22 at the half.

In the second half the Elks began to pull away and put the Vikings away for the night. The boys led 64-35 heading into the 4th quarter and went on the cruise to a 80-50 win.

The team was led by Johnathan Powell with 20 points, Gabe Cupps with 16 points, Collin O'Connor with 16 points and Dulguun(Tommy) Gankhuyag with 10 points.

The Varsity is now 12-2 overall and 8-0 in the GWOC. The JV team beat Miamisburg 55-31 and 9th Black lost to Miamisburg 43-44.

The teams travel to Springfield tonight with 9th Gold playing at 5 pm, JV at 6:15 pm and Varsity at 7:30 pm. Tickets are only available online at
