In the 2nd half the varsity boys got on a roll offensively and led 75-53 after the third quarter. The fourth quarter was all Elks as the team only gave up 8 points after giving up 42 points in the previous 2 quarters. The Elks went on to win 97-61. Something tells me defense may be a part of the next practice session as we all know Coach Cupps does not like giving up many points.
The win brings the Elks to 14-2 on the season and 10-0 in the GWOC. The 9th Gold beat Beavercreek 61-45 and the JV team beat Beavercreek 60-25.
The teams are back in action at Northmont on Friday January 27th with 9th Gold playing at 5 pm, JV at 6:15 pm and Varsity at 7:30 pm. The varsity may start a little late as it is Military Appreciation Night at Northmont and they are swearing in some students that are joining the Military prior to warm-ups!
