Girls Basketball Advances To District Semi-Finals

In a thrilling varsity girls basketball match, the Lady Elks fought back from being behind at the half to defeat Chaminade Julienne 48-36. Although the Lady Elks led 10-7 after the 1st quarter, they trailed 17-21 at the half. However, their defense came alive in the second half and held Chaminade to just 15 points, while the Elks got on track offensively to lead 33-27 heading into the 4th quarter. The Lady Elks went on to win the game 48-36, led by the impressive performances of Senior Kendal George with 15 points and Senior Anna Grim with 11 points.

With this victory, the Lady Elks improved their overall record to 16-7 and are set to face Sidney in the District Semi-Final on Thursday at 6:00 pm at Butler High School. Fans can only purchase tickets online at www.ohsaa.org/tickets.

This win is a testament to the Lady Elks' grit and determination, as they fought back from a deficit at halftime and held their opponents to just 15 points in the second half. The team showed great teamwork and composure to overcome the halftime deficit and secure the victory.
