The Centerville Elks Varsity Boy Bowlers finished the 2022-2023 regular season with a 13-1 record after beating Wayne High School at Poelking Marion Lanes on Thursday night. The Elks claimed a hard-fought 2485-2375 victory in the match, with Nolan Caban and Jake Hamrick leading the charge for the team.

Caban put in an impressive performance, racking up a two-game total of 481, including a high score of 280. Hamrick wasn't too far behind with a total of 457, including a high score of 259. The Elks showed their depth throughout the game with contributions from other players as well.

With the regular season now concluded, the Elks are preparing for postseason play. The team's strong showing in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) has them primed for success, as they look to carry their momentum forward and compete for a state championship.

The JV team also had a successful night, beating Wayne by a score of 2172-1784. Cohen Pulliam and Josh Ullmer led the JV Elks, with Pulliam scoring 433 and Ullmer scoring 406.

The team and coaches are proud of the success they have had this season, but they are not resting on their laurels. With postseason play now upon them, the Elks are eager to continue their winning ways and make a run for the state championship.

The first step on this journey will be the sectional tournament, which is set to take place next week. With the regular season now behind them, the Elks are putting in extra work to prepare for this important stage of the season.

The team and coaches would like to thank the fans for their support throughout the season, and they look forward to continuing to represent Centerville High School with pride and excellence in the upcoming postseason matches.
