The Varsity Boys Basketball team won their 5th straight OHSAA Southwest District Championship. The Elks put on a dominant display in their victory over the Anderson Raptors, winning the game 63-39. The team's suffocating defense was too much for the Raptors to handle, and the Elks controlled the game from start to finish.

The game got off to a slow start with poor shooting by the Elks, but their defense kept the Raptors in check, and they led 10-7 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Elks found their rhythm and pulled away, taking a commanding 34-13 lead into halftime. The second half was a showcase for the Elks' offensive and defensive skills, and they blew out the Raptors to lead 60-26 at the end of the third quarter.

Leading the way for the Elks in scoring were Dulguun Gankhuyag with 12 points, Jonathan Powell and Collin O'Connor both adding 11 points. The Elks' balanced attack and teamwork were key to their victory, with multiple players contributing to the scoring effort.

The Elks now have an impressive 23-3 record and are poised to continue their winning ways as they move on to the OHSAA Regional Semi-Final. They will face Elder at the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University on Wednesday, March 8th at 6:00 pm. This is a must-see game for basketball fans, and tickets will be available at www.ohsaa.org/tickets. It is important to note that tickets will not be available online until Monday at some point.

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Basketball team on their 5th straight OHSAA Southwest District Championship win, and best of luck to them as they continue their pursuit of a state championship title. The entire community is behind them and proud of their achievements. Go Elks!
