The Centerville Boys Varsity Lacrosse team played their first home game of the season against New Albany and unfortunately came up short, losing 8-7 in overtime. The Elks came out strong in the first half, leading 4-3 with the entire team playing with great effort and passion. However, the New Albany Eagles managed to come back from being down by 3 goals in the second half, ultimately sending the game into overtime where they secured the victory.

Despite the loss, the Centerville Boys Varsity Lacrosse team should be proud of their effort and the way they played the game. New Albany is traditionally a strong team, and the fact that the Elks were able to compete with them shows their potential to play at a high level. It was clear that the team was working hard and playing with a lot of heart, and they should take this game as a learning opportunity to continue improving and growing as a team.

The JV team also played against New Albany and unfortunately lost 6-4. While it's always disappointing to lose, the fact that the JV team was able to keep the game close is a positive sign for the future. Both the JV and Varsity teams will have a chance to bounce back when they play against the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats on Friday, March 24th. The JV team will play at 5:30 PM and the Varsity team will play at 7:15 PM. Tickets are available online at
