The Elks Varsity Baseball team showed resilience and determination in bouncing back from their first GWOC loss of the season last Wednesday to Miamisburg. The team traveled to Beavercreek on Friday and put on an impressive performance, winning 10-0 in just five innings.

Senior Max Doepker pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts, while the offense was led by sophomore Luke Franklin with two hits and two stolen bases, and senior Kyle Kenney with three RBIs. The Elks' dominant performance on Friday showed that they were determined to put their loss behind them and get back to winning ways.

However, the team faced a setback on Saturday when they fell 4-6 to Massillon Jackson. Despite the loss, the Elks showed grit and determination, with junior Miles Whitesell, sophomore Jackson Clark, and junior Tim Miller pitching for the team. Senior Nic Bruder led the offense with a triple, while junior Karson Adkins had two hits.

The Elks Varsity Baseball team now has a record of 5-5 overall and 4-1 in the GWOC. The team will look to continue their winning ways in the coming weeks.

The Elks' junior varsity teams also had a strong showing over the weekend, with the JVA team beating Lakota East 6-5 on Saturday, while the JVB team split a doubleheader with the same opponent, losing the first game 3-13 but bouncing back to win the second game 11-1.

The Elks will be back in action on Monday, with the Varsity team hosting Beavercreek at 5 pm at Booster Park for Military Appreciation Night. The JVA and JVB teams will also be playing, with JVA playing at the high school and JVB playing at Rotary Park, both at 5 pm.
