The Varsity Boys Lacrosse team of Centerville High School faced some tough competition this past weekend, as they traveled to Columbus to play against two formidable teams. While they split the games, the Elks put up a valiant effort and proved to be a tough competitor for both the teams.

On Friday night, the team played against Dublin Coffman and lost in a closely fought match, with the final score being 8-9. Both the teams played aggressively, and the game went down to the wire. The Elks showcased their skills and put up a tough fight, but the Shamrocks managed to edge them out in the end.

However, the team bounced back in the second game, as they traveled to Pickerington North and came away with a dominating 15-8 victory. The Elks took control of the game early on and never looked back. Their offense was on point, and the defense did an excellent job of limiting the opposition's opportunities.

The varsity team's current record stands at 4-5 overall and 1-0 in the GWOC. The JV team, unfortunately, did not have the same luck as they lost both their games against Coffman and Pickerington North.

The teams will be back in action on Wednesday, April 19th, with the JV team playing at 5:30 pm and the Varsity team playing at 7:15 pm. The game will be played at Alumni Stadium and will be the Staff Appreciation Night. The team is calling for all the Elk supporters to come out and cheer for the boys in blue.

The Elks hope to see a lot of fans at the game and are looking forward to putting up a great show.
