On Monday evening, the Centerville Varsity Baseball team faced off against their rivals, Beavercreek, in a thrilling match at Booster Park. The game ended with a resounding 12-4 victory for Centerville, much to the delight of the home crowd.

Senior Brady Zimbric took the mound for Centerville and led the team to victory, pitching a stellar game against a tough Beavercreek offense. Junior Drake Wells also pitched well in relief, helping to seal the win for the home team.

But the victory was not just the result of great pitching. The Centerville offense was firing on all cylinders, with multiple players stepping up to the plate and making key hits throughout the game. The team played with focus and determination, showcasing their skills and teamwork to secure the win. The Elks are now 6-5 overall and 5-1 in the GWOC. The JVA team beat Beavercreek 15-0 with Casey Lippincott throwing a perfect game. The JVB team lost to Beavercreek 2-3.

The game was also particularly special due to the fact that it was Military Appreciation Night at Booster Park. For 13 years, the Centerville baseball program has made it a tradition to honor the men and women who have served our country. This year was no exception, with numerous special guests in attendance to pay tribute to our veterans.

The evening was a touching reminder of the sacrifices that our servicemen and women make every day to protect our country and our freedoms. The Centerville community came together to show their support and gratitude, and the players were honored to be a part of such a meaningful event.

The Centerville Varsity Baseball team would like to extend their thanks to all those involved in making Military Appreciation Night such a success, as well as to the many veterans in attendance. It was a night to remember, and the team is proud to have been a part of it.

The teams are now back in action tonight as the Varsity team will host Northmont at 5 pm while JVA & JVB teams both travel to Northmont for 5 pm games.
