The Varsity Softball team pulled off an impressive upset on Friday night, taking down previously GWOC unbeaten Springboro with a final score of 12-6 on the road. The Lady Elks delivered a well-rounded performance, with key contributions from several players leading the way to a memorable victory.

Freshman Chayse Adkins was a standout performer, going 3 for 3 at the plate and delivering crucial hits throughout the game. Junior Ardyn Hopf also had a strong showing, going 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs, while senior Brooke Strobel went 2 for 5 with 3 RBIs and senior Ashley Arnold went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs. These impressive performances from the Lady Elks' lineup helped to keep the pressure on Springboro's defense throughout the game.

On the mound, junior Hayley Arnold was a dominant force, striking out 9 batters and keeping the Springboro lineup in check. Her pitching performance was a key factor in the team's victory, and her teammates rallied around her to secure the win.

The Lady Elks' victory over Springboro was a major accomplishment, particularly given their opponent's unbeaten league record heading into the game. The win also improved the team's overall record to 11-7 and their conference record to 8-3 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC).

The Centerville Varsity Softball team will look to carry their momentum forward as they host Lebanon today at 11 AM. With the confidence gained from their impressive victory over Springboro, the Lady Elks are sure to come out strong and determined to continue their winning ways.
