The Varsity Baseball team showed resilience and determination in their game against Grove City, as they bounced back from a tough loss to Springboro on Friday. The Elks lost to Springboro by a score of 6-4, with Max Doepker and Drake Wells each pitching three innings. However, the team's offense was led by seniors Luke Sutter, Nic Bruder, and sophomore Luke Franklin, who all contributed with two hits each.

Despite the loss on Friday, the Elks didn't let it affect their confidence going into Saturday's game against Grove City at Wright State University. They came out strong, with senior Donnell High throwing four innings of shutout baseball and junior Tim Miller throwing three innings for the win. The offense was led by Nic Bruder and junior Karson Adkins, who each had three hits. Max Doepker also contributed with three RBIs.

With this win, the Centerville Varsity Baseball team improved their record to 9-8 overall and 7-4 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC). This victory not only showed their resilience but also their ability to bounce back from a tough loss and play with determination and focus.

The JVA and JVB teams both won their GWOC Tourney games on Saturday to advance to the Finals next weekend. JVA beat Springfield 29-1 and Beavercreek 13-3. JVB beat Beavercreek 9-2 and Miamisburg 9-0. Lucas Dice pitched a perfect game!

The teams are back in action on Monday as the Varsity will host Springboro and the JVA and JVB teams will travel to Springboro all for 5 pm games.
