Softball Has Great Senior Night

The Centerville Varsity Softball team had an unforgettable senior night on Wednesday as they dominated Wayne with a final score of 14-0 in just five innings. The Lady Elks were led by their seniors, who shone both on the field and from the mound. The game was a great showcase of the team's skills and sportsmanship as they celebrated their senior night in style.

Senior Ashley Arnold had an incredible game, going 3 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI's. She also earned the win from the mound with 8 strikeouts, solidifying her position as one of the team's top pitchers. Brooke Strobel, another senior, also had a strong performance, going 2 for 4 at the plate.

Alexia Peterson was flawless in the field with two assists. And, in a memorable moment for the team, senior Paige Parson made her first start and even scored a run, adding to the team's already impressive senior contributions.

The Lady Elks' victory over Wayne was a significant milestone for the team, as they improved their overall record to 12-8 and their Greater Western Ohio Conference record to 9-3. Their dominance on the field was a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the season.

The team's junior varsity team also had a successful outing, beating Wayne on the road Wednesday night. The team's success is a testament to their training and team spirit, with both the varsity and junior varsity teams demonstrating their skills and resilience.

The Lady Elks are scheduled to be back in action on Thursday, with the varsity team hosting Springboro at 5 pm. Fans are sure to be eager to see if the team can continue their winning streak, especially after their impressive senior night performance.
