The Centerville Girls Varsity Lacrosse team took on Fairfield in a home game on Thursday night, celebrating their seniors and honoring the Military and First-Responders. Unfortunately, the Lady Elks were defeated by a score of 14-5. Despite the loss, it was an amazing night for the seniors who were recognized for their incredible contributions to the team over the years.

The girls lacrosse program at Centerville has been steadily improving, and this year's team is arguably the most competitive in school history. The seniors have been instrumental in this improvement, overcoming adversity and leading by example to help the program move in a positive direction. The contributions made by Sarah Spaulding, Jorja Williams, Ashlee White, Mina Nassar, Maggie Pickrel, and Gracy Anne Frank will not be forgotten, and they will leave a lasting legacy for the future of the program.

Although the game didn't go as planned, the Centerville Girls Varsity Lacrosse team has a lot to be proud of this season. With a record of 7-8, they have proven to be a tough opponent for any team they face. Their dedication and hard work have paid off, and they should be commended for their efforts both on and off the field.

The Junior Varsity team also faced Fairfield and lost by a score of 11-6. Despite the loss, the team should be proud of the improvements they have made throughout the season and the skills they have developed along the way.

Looking ahead, the Varsity team will face Miamisburg in the OHSAA Regional Tournament at Miamisburg tonight at 6 pm. Tickets are only available online at www.ohsaa.org/tickets.
