The Centerville Athletic Department would like to announce exciting news that Darcy Whyte will be taking over as the new Head Girls Cross Country Coach. Coach Whyte is no stranger to the program, having spent some time with the middle school team in recent years. She is a welcome addition to the Elk family and the tradition-rich cross country program.

The program faced an unexpected departure when Coach Casey Clark left the position, but the department is thrilled to have found such a quality coach in Coach Whyte. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the program, and her leadership is sure to provide the stability the team needs.

Coach Whyte graduated from Bellbrook High School in 2009, where she was a standout runner for the Eagles. She then went on to have an incredible career at the University of the Cumberlands, where she met her husband, who was also a runner. The couple has been married for seven years and currently reside in Xenia, Ohio. Coach Whyte also serves as a Physician's Assistant at the VA Hospital.

With her experience and background in the sport, Coach Whyte is looking forward to providing incredible leadership for the program and taking it to new heights. She is committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for the athletes and helping them achieve their full potential both on and off the course.

In the coming weeks, Coach Whyte will be announcing a meeting for all runners and their parents interested in being a part of the program. This meeting will provide an opportunity for athletes to meet their new coach, learn about the program's expectations and goals, and ask any questions they may have.

In conclusion, the Centerville Athletic Department is excited to welcome Darcy Whyte as the new Head Girls Cross Country Coach. Her experience, expertise, and commitment to the sport make her the perfect choice to lead the program. We look forward to seeing the program thrive under her leadership, and we wish Coach Whyte and the team all the best for the upcoming season. Let us all welcome Coach Darcy Whyte to the Elk Family!
