The Boys Varsity Lacrosse team showcased their growing strength as they traveled to Pickerington Central on Wednesday night and secured an impressive 8-5 victory in the OHSAA Regional Tournament. Under the guidance of Coach Stehlin and his dedicated staff, the program continues to evolve into a formidable force, constantly raising the bar for competitiveness each year.

From the opening whistle, it was evident that the Elks were determined to make their mark. They found themselves in a tight battle, leading 5-4 at halftime against the tenacious Tigers. However, the team displayed their resilience and rallied to extend their lead to 8-4 as they headed into the crucial fourth quarter.

Facing adversity in the final period, the Elks were challenged by being two men down on the field. Nonetheless, their defense stepped up magnificently, tightening their ranks and refusing to yield. With unwavering determination, the Elks held their ground, ultimately emerging victorious with a final score of 8-5. Zach Allen scored 4 goals for the Elks to lead the offensive charge.

With this crucial win, the Varsity team's overall record for the season stands at 10-8. Looking ahead, the Elks now advance in the Regional play, set to face Thomas Worthington on the road at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 19th.
