As the summer sun blazes on, the City of Centerville, Centerville City Schools, and the Centerville-Washington Foundation are coming together to host one of the most anticipated events of the season - Elk Pride Never Dies (EPND) Night at Stubbs Park! On Sunday, July 30th, families from all around the city are invited to join in on the festivities and kick off another thrilling season of Centerville High School (CHS) student activities. The event is from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. There will be over 32 booths filled with all the different activities available to participate in here in the Centerville School District. This event is for children of all ages to learn information and get connected!

The primary objective of the EPND Night is to celebrate all the incredible opportunities Centerville students have to choose from in the various extracurricular pursuits. This event provides an excellent opportunity for families, friends, and community members to learn about and support all the extra-curricular opportunities that enrich the lives of our students.

EPND Night promises to be a spectacle of enthusiasm and excitement as it brings together students, coaches, and advisors from all corners of Centerville High School's extracurricular world. Whether it's cheering on the sports teams, applauding the drama club's performances, admiring the talents of the art and music students, or recognizing the academic achievements of the scholars, the entire community will be there to lend their unwavering support.

The evening's highlight will be the much-anticipated concert by none other than hometown favorites, The Fries Band. With their catchy tunes and electrifying performances, The Fries Band has become synonymous with fun-filled evenings and cherished memories for the Centerville community. As families gather on the lush green lawns of Stubbs Park, they can relax in their lawn chairs, tapping their feet and dancing to the rhythm of the music.

Beyond the celebration, EPND Night also serves as the launch of the Brad Bucher Elk Pride Never Dies Fund campaign. Named after Brad Bucher, a dedicated alumnus of Centerville High School, this fund aims to remove any financial barriers that students may face in participating in school activities. As a proud 1975 graduate of CHS, Bucher had an unyielding passion for supporting his alma mater and believed that every student should have the chance to explore their interests and talents without worrying about activity fees.

Before his passing, Bucher ensured that his legacy of generosity and commitment to the Centerville community would continue. He bequeathed a generous gift to the Centerville-Washington Foundation with the express purpose of helping students access extracurricular activities at all levels, regardless of their financial circumstances. The Brad Bucher Elk Pride Never Dies Fund now stands as a testament to his enduring spirit and his belief that Elk Pride truly never dies.

Throughout the EPND Night event, attendees will have the opportunity to make contributions to the fund, furthering Bucher's vision and providing more students with the means to participate in the diverse array of extracurricular activities offered by CHS.

The City of Centerville, Centerville City Schools, and the Centerville-Washington Foundation, in collaboration with various sponsors and volunteers, have worked tirelessly to organize this event. Their dedication showcases the power of community spirit and the shared belief in the potential of every student in Centerville.

So mark your calendars for Sunday, July 30th, and come join the celebration at Stubbs Park. Let's come together as a community to ensure that Elk Pride Never Dies and that every Centerville student has the chance to embrace their passions and shine in their chosen extracurricular pursuits. Your presence and support will make a difference in the lives of these young individuals, leaving an indelible mark on their journey of growth and success.
