Girls Varsity Soccer Gets First Victory for Coach Schluter

In a thrilling Monday night matchup, the Centerville Elks Varsity Girls Soccer team ventured to Oak Hills and secured their first triumphant victory of the season with a resounding 3-1 win. Guided by their first-year head coach Bradley Schluter, the team exhibited remarkable resilience, fighting back from an initial 1-0 deficit to overcome the talented Oak Hills squad.

Coach Schluter, who earned his first victory, undoubtedly felt a surge of pride as his team demonstrated the resolve that coach has been looking for in this young season.
The scoreboard came alive with the goals of Audi Rhyner, Gaby Aydelott, and Sam Touhey, each of whom showcased their individual skill and precision in finding the back of the net.

Crucial to these impressive scores were the assists provided by Ava Pfarrer, Morgan Spitler, and Taylor Koch. These players' selfless contributions not only contributed to the final scoreline but also highlighted the team's dynamic playmaking abilities.

The spotlight of the game also shone brightly on Khloe Isaacs, Leona Ciarlariello, and Morgan Spitler, who played outstanding all-around games. Their consistent performance, both offensively and defensively, exemplified their versatility and commitment to the team's success.

The JVB team came home with a 3-1 victory over Oak Hills. The JVA team lost 3-1 to Oak Hills. These matches provided valuable learning opportunities for the team's development as they strive to excel in the upcoming season.

As the cheers from Monday night's victory echo, the Centerville Elks are gearing up for their next challenge. On Saturday, August 26th, the team will return to the familiar grounds of Alumni Stadium for a doubleheader against Walsh Jesuit.
