Sunday's tournament at The Links at Echo Springs showcased some of the top teams from across the State gathered for the New Albany Coed Invite. Among the contenders, the Centerville Girls Varsity Gold Golf team exhibited their exceptional skill and determination, culminating in a commendable third-place finish, with the Lady Elks firing an impressive team score of 315. The event was a testament to the team's dedication and talent, with standout performances that left an indelible mark on the greens.

A standout performance came from Nithya Nunna, whose impeccable skill and unwavering focus earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Scoring an impressive 75, Nunna not only displayed her prowess with the clubs but also demonstrated the mental fortitude required to excel in a high-stakes tournament. Her remarkable performance was a driving force behind the team's success and a testament to her dedication to the sport.

Brigid Nickell, riding the wave of an exceptional year, added to the team's success with a score of 78. Nickell's consistent and remarkable performances have become a hallmark of her playstyle, and her contribution to the team's achievement at the New Albany Coed Invite was no exception. Her unwavering commitment to improvement and her team's success is a testament to her dedication.

Golf is a sport that demands individual excellence, but success in team tournaments hinges on collective effort. Meenakshi Edala, Ava Bressler, and Norah Durbin rounded out the Centerville Girls Varsity Gold Golf team's exceptional performance. Edala's score of 80, Bressler's 82, and Durbin's 88 further solidified the team's standing in the tournament and underscored the importance of every member's contribution to the overall success.

With the New Albany Coed Invite behind them, the Lady Elks are not resting on their laurels. The team is set to host the Lady Elk Invite at Yankee Trace, an event that promises to showcase their skill on their home turf. Starting at 7:30 am, the team is eager to capitalize on their recent success and continue to impress both fans and opponents alike.
