Wednesday night was a night of glory for the Centerville Elks Varsity Boys Soccer team as they stormed to a spectacular 9-0 victory at home against Miamisburg. With this impressive win, the Elks have continued to build upon their unbeaten record, now standing at 6-0-2. Their remarkable form includes a five-game winning streak, following two consecutive draws earlier in the season.

The Elks' performance on the pitch has been nothing short of exceptional, with strengths shining in all areas of the game. One of the most notable aspects of their recent success is the resurgence of the offense, which has been on fire lately. The team has demonstrated their ability to create scoring opportunities and capitalize on them effectively.

Jonah Beny was undoubtedly the star of the evening, contributing significantly to the team's victory with a remarkable hat-trick. Beny's goal-scoring prowess was on full display, leaving the opposition's defense in disarray.

Drew Gaydosh was another standout player for the Elks, netting two goals and showcasing his skill and precision in front of the goal. The scoring frenzy didn't stop there, as Josh Cline, Peter Evans, Owen Mace, and Xander Terrell each added a goal to the tally, highlighting the depth and versatility of the team's offensive arsenal.

While the offense was firing on all cylinders, the Elks' defense continued to impress. Seniors Luke Shrivers and Matthew Schluter combined their efforts to secure yet another shutout in goal, a testament to their talent and leadership on the field.

The Junior Varsity A (JVA) team also celebrated victory, narrowly edging out Miamisburg with a 1-0 win, underscoring the depth of talent within the program.

As the Elks continue their impressive season, their next challenge promises to be a thrilling one. On Saturday, at Alumni Stadium, the Elks will host the #2 Regionally ranked Louisville St. Xavier Tigers. The match will not only be a test of their skills but also an opportunity to celebrate 50 years of incredible soccer. To honor this milestone, all alumni players will receive free admission and will be recognized during halftime of the Varsity game, which kicks off at 3:00 pm.

The day will be filled with soccer excitement, as the Junior Varsity B (JVB) team plays at 11:30 am, followed by the Junior Varsity A (JVA) team at 1:15 pm, leading up to the Varsity game. Tickets for this memorable event are available online at
