Girls Varsity Gold And Black Both Compete At the Alter Invite At NCR

The Lady Elks Varsity Gold Golf Team played at the picturesque NCR Country Club for the highly competitive Alter Invite on Monday. In a field featuring 17 formidable teams, the Lady Elks delivered a great performance to clinch the 3rd place spot with a team score of 329.

Leading the charge and setting the standard for the Lady Elks was Brigid Nickell, whose remarkable display of skill and determination earned her the title of tournament runner-up with a spectacular score of 72. Brigid's precision on the course was nothing short of impressive, and her individual achievement undoubtedly played a pivotal role in the team's success.

Adding to the team's overall excellence were the steady performances of Nithya Nunna, who carded a commendable 79, and Ava Bressler, who contributed with an 86. Norah Durbin and Ava Snow rounded out the squad with scores of 92 and 93, respectively, showcasing the Lady Elks' remarkable depth and teamwork.

In addition to the Lady Elks Varsity Gold team's stellar performance, the Varsity Black Golf Team also displayed their determination and passion at the Alter Invitational, finishing in 13th place out of 17 teams with a team score of 393. Among the standout performances for the Varsity Black team, Jackie Lehman's career-low score of 82 was particularly noteworthy. Jackie's achievement demonstrated not only her individual growth but also her ability to lead and inspire her teammates.
