The Lady Elks outplayed their opponents with scores of 25-8, 25-13, and 25-18 in each set. The victory not only solidified their unbeaten record but also placed them firmly in the number one spot in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC).
With this impressive win, the Centerville Girls Varsity Volleyball team now boasts a flawless 9-0 record for the season. They have consistently demonstrated their strength, teamwork, and skill, making them a formidable force on the court.
While the varsity team's performance was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening, the Junior Varsity and Freshmen teams also had their moments. The JVA team faced a tough challenge against Springboro but showed great determination, eventually losing 2-1. On the other hand, the Freshmen team secured a satisfying 2-0 victory over their opponents.
The Lady Elks are not resting on their laurels, as they gear up for their next match at home on Thursday, September 14th, where they will take on Wayne High School. The action begins with the JVA and Freshmen teams playing at 5:30 pm, followed by the Varsity match at 6:45 pm.
