The boys varsity soccer team traveled to Dublin Jerome to play a very talented Celtic Squad. The Elks got the scoring started with Kai Miyashita sending a nice pass to Jonah Beny for the Elks goal with 11:08 left in the half to make it 1-0. That lead held up into halftime but early in the second half Jerome scored off of a corner kick to tie the game at 1-1. Nolan Humphrey hit a beautiful long range goal to put the Elks up 2-1 with 33 minutes left in the game. Maddox Rose then had a nifty pass to Kai Miyashita who got the Goal and the Elks led 3-1. Jerome was able to get 2 goals in the last 15 minutes to get the tie with the Elks 3-3. The Varsity team is now 10-0-3 on the season. The JVA team beat Dublin Jerome 1-0. The Elks will be at Springboro for a huge GWOC showdown on Tuesday October 3rd at Wade Field in Springboro. The JVA team will play at 5:30 pm and the Varsity will play at 7:15 pm. Buying a ticket with cash at the gate will also be an option.
