The Lad Elks faced an early setback as they dropped the first set to Fairmont with a score of 25-21. However, their determination and unwavering spirit soon took over. Coach Smith's team rebounded impressively, winning three consecutive sets with scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-14. The victory on Tuesday night not only solidified their unblemished 16-0 record for the season but also extended their flawless 12-0 record in the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC), securing their place atop the standings. Before the game, the program took a moment to pay tribute to their seven outstanding seniors who have contributed immeasurably to the team's success over the past four years. The seniors, Mialee Dabbelt, Kaleigh Jung, Paityn Krause, Samantha Luckett, Caroline Milner, Lilliana Salinas, and Reese Wuebker, were honored in a touching ceremony that brought tears and smiles to players and fans alike. In addition to the remarkable performance of the Varsity team, the 9th and JV teams also showed their mettle by defeating Fairmont 2-0 on home turf, setting the stage for a night of pure dominance by Centerville High School's volleyball program.
