The varsity boys soccer team traveled to Wayne on Tuesday night to close out their regular season. The Elks came away with a 2-0 win with 2 Peter Evans goals being the difference. Peter scored one in each half and Luke Shrivers and the defense pitched a shutout. The team scored 54 goals on the year and 12 goals all season as they went 11-2-3 on the year and 6-1 in the GWOC and alone in 2nd place behind Springboro. The JVA team beat Wayne 5-0 and went 11-1-4 on the season.
The varsity team will now prepare for the OHSAA Tournament as the Elks will open up play at home on Tuesday October 17th at 7 pm vs. Xenia. Tickets are available online for tourney games and the cost is $8 for Adults and $5 for Students plus a small credit card charge. You can pay cash at the gate but the cost is $10 for all fans ages 5 or above. So buy online to save money especially Students!
