The varsity BXC traveled to Northmont Saturday for the GWOC Championship. The Elks were a little short handed as 2 of the normal top 7 runners were not available to run and the boys just could not hold off Champion Springboro losing by 6 points. Junior Daniel Emmert led the Elks finishing in 2nd place with a time of 15:59, senior Lucas Melzer was 6th with a time of 16:18, senior Eric Bucher was 8th with a time of 16:25, junior Jagger Noel was 12th with a time of 16:39, senior Chase Chapman was 22nd with a time of 17:05, junior Mitchell Job was 28th with a time of 17:31 and senior Hamilton Roebken was 28th with a time of 18:28. The boys will run at 1:45 pm. Hopefully the Elks can get to full strength and if so the best is yet to come for these boys!
