The varsity boys cross country team ran in the OHSAA Regional race at Troy on Saturday and finished in 6th place which allowed them to take the last qualifying spot for next week's OHSAA State Meet. The team was led by junior Daniel Emmert who finished 6th overall with a time of 15:32. Also running for the Elks were senior Eric Bucher who finished 28th with a time of 16:15. Senior Lucas Melzer was 46th with a time of 16:36. Junior Jagger Noel was 53rd with a time of 16:42. Senior Drake Yarnell was 82nd with a time of 16:59. Sophomore Tyler Swan was 84th with a time of 17:00 and senior Chase Chapman was 85th with a time of 17:01. The Elks will run at the OHSAA State Meet at Fortress Obetz next Saturday at 2:45 pm. Tickets are available online at www.ohsaa.org/tickets for $16 (Adults) and $13n(Students). You can pay cash at the door for $20 for all ages 5 and up.
