On a chilly Sunday in Erlanger, KY, the Boys Varsity Basketball team faced off against Moravian Prep, NC in the highly anticipated Griffin Elite Showcase. The Elks, known for their skill and determination, unfortunately, experienced their first defeat of the year in what turned out to be a challenging game.

The match started with Moravian Prep taking an early lead, leaving the Elks trailing 22-10 after the first quarter. Despite their best efforts, Centerville found themselves in a tough spot, trailing 45-22 at halftime. The Moravian Prep team showcased exceptional shooting skills throughout the game, making it difficult for the Elks to catch up.

The final score of 88-53 in favor of Moravian Prep reflected the tough competition and the Elks' struggle to overcome the early deficit. The Boys Varsity Basketball team is not one to dwell on losses. Looking ahead, they are gearing up for their next game against Springboro on Friday night. The excitement continues with the 9th Gold team hitting the court at 5 pm, followed by the JV team at 6:15 pm. The Varsity team, eager to bounce back, will take on Springboro at 7:30 pm.
