On Saturday, the boys Varsity Wrestling team showcased their grit and skill as they traveled to Ross High School for the New Year's Duals tournament. The day unfolded with impressive victories, culminating in a perfect 4-0 record that earned them the coveted first-place title. Let's delve into the outstanding performance that brought the championship trophy home to Centerville.

The Elks kicked off the tournament with a commanding performance against Bellefontaine, securing a resounding 77-6 victory. The team's determination and training were on full display as they dominated their opponents in every weight class. This early success set the tone for the rest of the day.

The second matchup against Ross High School saw the Centerville wrestlers continue their winning streak with a solid 50-19 triumph. The team's cohesion and individual excellence were evident as they navigated through the dual meet, showcasing both technical proficiency and strategic prowess.

The third dual match against Oxford Talawanda proved to be a showcase of Centerville's dominance, with an impressive 81-0 shutout. Every wrestler contributed to the team's success, earning valuable points and demonstrating their commitment to excellence.

In the finals, the team faced off against Lakota East, and the intensity reached its peak. The wrestlers exhibited exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship on the mat. The final dual ended with a resounding 68-12 victory for the Elks, securing their first-place finish in the New Year's Duals.
