Tonight was a slam dunk for the Centerville Elks as they faced off against Wayne in an exhilarating series of basketball showdowns. The courts were heated, and the energy was sky-high as our teams brought their A-game.

Kicking off the evening were the freshman teams and they set the tone! The Centerville Black freshman squad dominated the court, securing a fantastic win against Wayne with an impressive score of 70-48. It was a stellar start to the evening, showcasing the promising talent brewing within our youngest Elks.

Following their lead, the JV teams took the court next, and the momentum continued to favor Centerville. The JV Elks showcased their skills, outplaying Wayne with a final score of 55-45. Their teamwork and determination were on full display, earning another victorious moment for our school.

The excitement peaked during the varsity face-off. In a thrilling and closely contested match, the Centerville Elks emerged victorious with a final score of 65-59 against Wayne. It was a nail-biting game, and our leading scorers truly shined. Jonathan Powell led the charge with an impressive 17 points, closely followed by Boboucarr Njie with 14 points. Adding to the scoreboard, Jamar Montgomery contributed 12 points, while Eli Greenberg's 10 points further solidified our triumph.

With these impressive victories under their belt, the Elks now set their sights on their upcoming game on Friday, January 5th, against Moeller. The team's dedication and skill have set the stage for an exciting season ahead, and the Centerville community eagerly anticipates their continued success on the court.
