In a thrilling and hard-fought matchup, the Centerville girls' basketball team showcased unwavering determination and resilience against Springfield, though ultimately falling short in a close contest. The game, held at Springfield High School, kept fans on the edge of their seats as the Elks fought valiantly to overcome an early deficit.

The first half proved challenging for the Elks, as Springfield took control, establishing a lead with a halftime score of 34-22. Facing adversity, the Centerville girls demonstrated grit and determination, refusing to let the deficit define their performance.
