Centerville High School's Elks witnessed an exciting trio of girls' basketball showdowns last night, showcasing sheer determination and remarkable prowess on the court.

The evening commenced with the freshman squad taking on Botkins in an intense matchup. Despite their unwavering effort, the freshmen encountered a tough challenge, ultimately falling short with a final score of 36 - 19.

The JV girls stormed onto the court next, facing off against Miamisburg with sheer tenacity. Their stellar performance led to a resounding victory, dominating the game with an impressive 58 - 14 triumph.

The highlight of the night, however, unfolded with the varsity team's clash against Miamisburg. In a gripping battle, our varsity Elks emerged victorious with a hard-fought 55 - 46 win. Bella Keeton displayed her skills with a notable 12 points, closely followed by Kaitlyn Palomino, who contributed 11 points. Caroline McDowell showcased her prowess, adding 9 crucial points to the scoreboard.

The Elks' resilience and teamwork illuminated the court, securing a well-deserved triumph. The anticipation now mounts for their upcoming game against Sidney on January 11th at 7:30 pm.
